350 locked up

cowman if you do decide to pull the pan and can see nothing wrong get a long screw driver and pry the crankshaft back and forth.if the complete crankshaft moves the bearings are ok and the crank is not broken.. then go to the rod bearingsto make sure they are loose and able to move.if all bearings are free you dont have a lower end lock up.how long had it been setting before you tried to start it?going back to it not starting.it should have tried to fire with ether unless there is something wrong in the ignition system.thats what led me to believe its someyhing in the timing gearsor distributor drive area.sure hope it is something simple and doesnt involve what could be major repairs.
