I don't remember what month it was, but the paint codes changed sometime in 1949, before that it was IH 50/PPG 70019/DuPont 7410. If that's what you want stop reading, as it gets more complicated. There were a couple of numbers after 1949, but I believe the only ones you can get mixed are the IH 2150 equivalent PPG 71310/DuPont 96766. As previously mentioned, Sherwin Williams, Martin Senour should also be able to mix those colors. One warning, if you have PPG 71310 mixed, my local supplier seems to get it too orange, I don't know if it's my eyes, the mixers fault, PPG's fault, or if it's ok. It's just too orange to suit me. A DuPont rep who posts on the paint forum on this site told me that the dupont version 96766 has no orange in it -- if it's pre 1949, it's not your problem.
