My WD Allis just had its clutch go out and the tractor has too many other problems to justify fixing it. A local dealer has a Farmall 300 with a Paulson loader for $3500. More than I want to spend, but I am cheap. I think he said it is a wide front. The loader has a trip bucket, which I hate, but the local welding shop said the could make it hydralic for under $500. Is has been painted recently, but I don't know if it was mechanically restored as well. I hope to go see it tommorrow. Anyhow I use a tractor for mowing diches with a JD #9 sickle mower, raking them and baling with a JD 14T square baler. I use a 5' Brushhog mower, and move snow around the yard with a loader and a V-style snowblower. So, my question is; is a 300 gouing to be enought tractor for my needs? Is the price out of line? Thanks for any input, Scott
