Just leave whichever one you have alone, as long as it still works ok. I wouldn't put a mag on my 5 tractors that have distributers, and I wouldn't replace the mag with a distributer on the 6th one. Because I prefer that they remain as they came from the factory. And, you can hand crank and start a tractor that has a dead battery and a distributer, or I should say a "dead" battery that does not have enough juice to turn over the starter but is not completely discharged -- because it takes more to turn the starter than the ignition uses.
