Hi Yellot, we had a 674 and then traded for 684 both with D-239 Diesel engines. The only thing that I can remember being different was the fuel filter. The 674 had a single fuel filter on the left side of the engine and the 684 had two CAV fuel filters on the right side of the engine. I don't remember any other major differences but we only had the 674 about 6 months as it had a slow speed transmission without T/A and 2nd gear was to slow for our corn harvester and 3rd was to fast so next spring traded for 684 with T/A with standard speed transmission. Good luck JB2
