10 p.m. Tuesday night. Just came home from the shop working on the 966 again. After a whole day of pruning and landscape maint . wasn't much energy left but had an offer to help split the beast so got her apart. The rear main engine oil seal is gone as we thought. The ipto gear is definitely wrong as it is even noisy just turning it by hand. Also evidence of uneven wear on backside of teeth. And yes the clowns who worked on this thing failed to put the oil seals on the shaft so no wonder the oil was running everywhere. Can't believe people get paid to do this kind of job. Will try to get the right parts asap and pray we come up with some answers on the TA. I think we will take the valve body off one more time (we can do that pretty fast by now) just to make sure that some thing is not backwards or contaminated. Thanks for the interest. Will keep you guys posted. Migraine
