Jossette- I have been running tractor for 2 years with 6 volt starter so I am aware of this. Don't mean to sound rude at all but that wasn't my question. What 12 volt starter did you use on a 1949 H that bolted to engine block? I wasn't aware of anything that bolted to the H that wasn't of the 6 volt variety. You said you use a 12 volt starter and I'd like to know what you got it off of. Thanks.
