Far as I can tell the M gage plate in Allan’s photo below is the same as the one for a Super M. And the reason the tank support casting broke on yours is because the coupling at the front of the steering motor had been welded solid. (The front coupling is a combination universal joint and slip joint) Anyway replacement front coupling are available. I purchased a new one a couple years ago thru Bates Corp. Price was about $80 as I recall. (The rear coupling is the stock IHC steering shaft U-joint) Note! You gotta have both the coupling and U-joint in place and working. Otherwise the motor will experience excessive thrust and side loads from the steering shaft and cause damage to both the motor and the mounting bracket, just as you discovered.
