I tried to beat the sleeves out of my A, without much success, the corrosion between the liner flange and the counterbores in the block was tough. Went to a puller before I did any damage. Check out OTC Tools 2002 catalogue online www.otctools.com/frames-catalog2.php3 page 126 and 127 shows their pullers for ideas. I have their No.1205 because I do so many different sizes of engines and it works great. Hope this helps
