TL Guthrie: After many years farming, close to 100,000 hours on 16 tractors, well over half of that on four, 6 cylinder diesels. Of the 16, I did as you are planning to do, to one tractor. Turned a NEW Farmall 560 from roughly 60 hp to 90 hp and operated it that way for 17 years. I'd say go buy yourself a larger tractor. You are now playing with 30 year old iron. My 560 went for scrap at 17 years. At 30 years old your 966 will do that at an accellerated rate. Yes maybe as quick as one good 10 hour day. My advice, be content to work them as they were rated new, they will serve you well.
