Hi, I have 2 International 574's one a 239 diesel no attachments the other a 200 gas w/2050loader and 3100 backhoe. Both dip sticks are 8" long. I put 10 gallons of hyd oil in the diesel but it only comes half way to the mark on the stick which is 4" up from bottom and the mark on the gas job is up 5" from bottom. Both tracs have been setting for 5-8 years.I am replacing all hoses on the gas job and have drained all old oil on both. The diesel hydraulic, pto, brakes do not work,p/s some what.My manual said 10 gallons but it looks like another 5 to bring to mark.I have been checking and cleaning all the valves as read about on this site. Are the marks right or is the book wrong? Thanks 4 any responce. Myron from Florida.
