I have used both. Like others say, it depends what you want. Both are good tractors. But are different. The WD-45 diesel probably has more power than M. I bet WD-45 governor is quicker than M on the gas model. The hand clutch of WD-45 is nice for pto work. That's why it's there. Many WD-45's had snap coupler hitch instead of 3 pt hitch. This means only Allis implements unless you convert. M Hydraulics are crude but effective. M is an excellent choice too. Plenty of power and simple to work on. You can't go too far wrong with either if they are in good shape!
