Drain and fill plugs are located on the left side of the unit. MAKE SURE you loosen the fill plug at the top BEFORE removing the drain plug, as these units are not vented, and even the smallest amount of pressure build up will result in a hydraulic oil bath in the blink of an eye if pressure is not bled off first (guess how I know!). Not sure of the capacity, cause I don"t have my book with me. The "filter" is made of wire mesh, which can be removed, cleaned & reinstalled. It is located behind the panel with four bolts where the temperature probe enters the unit, also on the left side. You may have to disconnect the steering column to remove it.
