If they are burning a CD on their own personal computer, that could be a problem. Depending on the make of the CD burner, CDs used and settings they are using, it may not be totally compatible with your CD drive. Burned CDs are completely different than factory-made CDs. If your next one doesn't work on your computer, I'd try it on someone else's. Personally, unless it's stated that it's a copy of an original, I'd assume I've paid for an original.
