Larry, We're halfway between Valentine and Thedford.
I was also doing it "for real" by the time I was 9, except I was mowing hay with that Super A. I was probably about 6 in the above pic.
Grandad says he started at about age 5, driving the team of horses that pulled the hay up on their overshot stacker.
