Just a suggestion here ......you can buy an exc original H with an exc running engine , fenders & the whole 9 yards for about $1500 - fix the normall misc minor rep's & minor cosmetics , throw some paint & tires on it .....then in all the time you saved by not doing your engine--instead tear your H apart & sell the parts on e-bay - it'll bring about what you pd for the good H (of course this will only work if you'r interested in saveing a lot of time and about a $1000 or so.....if you "just want to rebuild an engine" - then as others have suggested , just pull the engine & "do it up right" !)
