I'm with dej(JED), it sounds like water frozen in the rear end, if the temperature where you are is or has been below freezing I would bet on it.Put a space heater under the rear end and cover with a couple of blankets for a few hours, then drain the water out. I replied to another question tonight and have this to tell you. I have two H's and I got two and a half gallons of water out of one and about a gallon out of the other when I first got them. Once you have warmed the rear end loosen the drain plug just below the PTO, you can turn it out by hand until you see water starting to bead out, hold tight and turn a little more til you get a flow, when you start getting oil turn it back in and retighten. It is likely prudent to drain it totally and replace the rear end oil. Walmart has 80-90 gear oil for about $27 a 5 gallon pail and you need 6 gallons for an H....Good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario
