As to the service manual, order GSS-MTA from Binder Books--although I don't have an MTA, I do have five other letter series and this book probably covers everything that is apecific to the MTA -- first thing I do is order manuals. Specific system-only Blue Ribbon manuals may also be available -- ask when you call-503-684-2024. The other two you want are the Operators and Parts manuals. The I&T manual, IH-8 covers the letter series, including the SMTA, and has some things that the IH manuals don't, although there is not as much detail. Except for the I&T manual, these are exact reprints of the Factory manuals, and even the I&T uses factory diagrams. Something over $100 will buy all of these, there is really nothing else published specifically for the MTA. Don't worry about them being printed for professsionals. If you get hung up there are many people on this forum who can help. In fact the procedures would go better for everyone if they would read the manual first, then ask specific questions concerning any problems.

I’m par
