I converted my W4 to 12v four years ago. The best thing I ever did. At -20C I got tired of the non starting, or stalling 3 fields away and walking back for a boost. Since then I have never had a failed start, but I have used a block heater for 20 minutes in the real cold stuff. You have your choice, a tractor that looks just like new or a tractor that works when you need it. It just depends what you want. Personally I use my W4 and when I need it I don't want to fool around. I change the mag to coil, I change the lights, I changed to a screw on oil filter, put in a block heater, anything to make the job easier. Good luck.
