Chuck, The only way you could have got it 180 out is if you took the mag off and reinstalled it, and turned the drive keys 180 before reinstalling. Allways a good idea to have your rotor pointing to #1 plig wire after removing the cap before pilling the mag. Anyway, you had your govenor housing off to put a new thrust bearing in. You would have had to pull the govenor gear out quite far to get it out far enough to be one tooth off.If you did pull it out that far I think at this point you need to get the tractor back on TDC. You will need to take the bottom flywheel cover off to find your TDC line on the outside diameter of the flywheel. It is a very light line and hard to find but it is there. Once you find it, take your spark plugs out and have someone hand crank the engine while you put your finger over the #1 plug hole until you feel piston coming up on compression stroke. Watch for your line to come up on the flywheel. At this point your rotor should be just coming up on your #1 plug. scotty
