I'm going to be a little rude, but tell him to stick it. That price is way to much for an M in the current condition. I'm so tired of these people that think they have some antique gold mind and want a fortune for their junk. Give him time and he will soon sell it for a reasonable offer. Other wise somebody with no concept/clue will pay too much for the tractor and regret it later. Just my opinion.
