Dad bought one new and it was our main tracotr for years. It had a fast hitch, and we pulled a 3-16 mouonted plow with it. As for the TA, we neverhad any toruble with ours. One of the secrets is to keeep it adjusted per the book, and when you move the lever, don't ease it in and ot of low range. grab the lever and pull into low, or squeeze the handle and let it go to go into hi range. They don'tlike to be slipped. Also, change the hy-tran in the transmission every year or so. This will help keep the TA working good. For its size it did a good job for us. Not as torquey as an M but not a bad tractor.
