Little more info on the description of how it slipped, it never stopped spinning, you could let off the dyno, or back off the engine and it would grab back up and hold, long as I did not open up the throttle all the way, and then pull it down to 540. It sounded like the pump was was giving up, more than hearing the disks grind, I cant imagine that old sick engine being much of a terror on the pto, but who knows? start turning up the ponies on them, and may start to have to go farther than what is to be expected to keep it together and hope it holds. Im looking into geting a guage, and the fitting, but reading the shop manual to get a grasp of what Im up against. I did have Dad show me how to adjust it, and it did help it, but, who knows? may have just tightened up the pressure on a worn out clutch pack,,,,,,, did not slip at 540 this time, but what about later??? Made 90 hp, out of a bone stock 263, so yes tractor vet, I belive you on what they can do! Got some unexpected HP out of it, I thought it would be round 75,,, shocked the heck out me!
