McCormick-Deering was the tradename virtually all agricultural machines recieved after 1923 in the U.S. and Canada built by IH, and was the combination of the two largest of the original companies that formed IH in 1902. If you were overseas, the tradename might be different- you could end up with a McCormick H, a Deering H, an International H, or a McCormick-Deering International H. All were built by IH, and sold by either company owned subsidiaries or by joint ventures. There never was a company known as McCormick-Deering or a division titled McCormick Division- the ag products built by IH were just known by that name in certain countries.
