Unless you can get a good engine for a song, most engine swaps are done out of love, not to save money... There are so many individual bits and pieces that you have to chase down, and so much labor, it quickly becomes a major expense. I think the frame length and width on a 460 is the same as a 560, which, if I'm not mistaken, is the same width and length as the bigger '06 and '56 series tractors. If the 460's block is the same as the 560's C263 gas engine, you can put a D282 or D310 (late 706 & 756 engine, also 715 combine). If a D310 will fit, so will a D358. It might take a little more work, but you could probably shoehorn a D361 (806) or D407 (856) in there. The 666/686 is basically the same tractor with a different engine. That opens the door for the D312 and D360 blocks from the 66 and 86 series. The major parts you'll need are the front and rear covers for the engine.

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
