Okay, I've got some really neat older IH literature from 1936. The literature is really interesting to read and explains how farmers are on a waiting list to recieve the tractors they ordered. It sounded like IH had one heck of a time getting tractors made in time. Also explains how IH has to hire more employees to make the tractors. My question for all of you historians. On the F-20 for sure, in 1935 the steering box cover was smooth. Why was it smooth for that year only? I'm guessing IH contracted some parts out to keep up with the demand of tractor sales. Being that part produced and was made smooth for quick production? You tell me.
