Maybe you guys should follow some of your own advice. If a forsale or wanted ad pops up in the wrong place, and you don't want to see the nasty replies, DON'T READ IT. The guy that posted the ad sure ain't readin' the replies. People like that are one-off posters, just here for the free ad. They don't care, and neither should you. If someone offers advice that doesn't directly answer the question, so what? Maybe they're doing what you do, offering an OPINION? They've got just as much right to their opinion as to what's the best fix as you do to yours. Just because their opinion differs from yours doesn't mean that theirs is wrong, bad, or posted with malicious intent. Loosen up a little.

Product Review: Lead Substitutes - by Mike Schordine. Lead was oriinally added to gasoline as an upper cylinder lubricant. It lubes the valves and seats. If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution.
