The 826 has a 358 german diesel motor or a 301 gas. The diesel is a good motor but the gas would be costly to run. As for the hydro you can plan on spending in the $3000 to $4000 range to have it rebuilt at a hydro repair shop if you remove it your self. Hydros are good for lighter work like baling ect, but are not the best for heavy tillage. Too much lost power from the hydro. Overall it would be a good tractor if its a diesel and you can get it cheap enough to offset the hydro rebuild.
