I think you made a wise choice to go with a diesel. I have my H and M for drawbar pulling type stuff but I really like my 1993 Ford 5610 65 hp. diesel with all the right stuff, independant power, 3 point, live hydraulics, and front loader. Bush hogging the fields down in late spring it needs filling about every 2 days. Dad's MF 165 gas (52 hp. I think) better go in for lunch or you will be walking for gas in the afternoon. In the four years I've had the diesel have only replaced the alternator (reason it was sold I believe) and the starter started hanging up. It is almost maintanence free except for oil changes and the like.
