Jerry, Prior to the end of WWII, many Farmalls, which would include your B, were purchased without lights from the factory. Lights could be added as a dealer option, and in that case could be either red or black, depending on what color they were when the dealer got them. If a generator was added, the same thing would apply. A generator would be red if installed at the factory, but could be either red or black if installed later either by a dealer or ordered from a dealer and installed by the owner. Oh yes, that also goes for a starter. As to the front emblem, The reproductions arent painted as they are for the H and M"s. I painted one and it turned out just fine. You simply paint the whole facial surface black, then while it is still tacky, take a smooth textured rag and soak it lightly with thinner and wipe off the raised portion of the emblem. It takes some patience so as not to touch the painted portion, but it is much easier and the results are more professional looking than trying (in vain) to mask those areas you don"t want painted. If you do totally screw it up, it isnt that hard to strip and redo. I was lucky that I got it right the first time. Another hint on those reproduction emblems. They will need some filing or cutting to conform to the grill itself. Do that first (with patience), and make sure it fits before painting.
