Went and picked up my "new" 48 H this weekend up in Woodbine IA. I know right off I'm going to have some electrical questions for Bob M. He was running a 12 volt batt. in the tractor and it still has the gen. on it. Said he just charges his batt. once and while. Hope no damage done to the gen. No bulbs in the lights so they should be OK. Runs good but is very dirty. Was restored 10 years ago when I first saw it. Used for 6 years to mow a 5 acre church yard. Has sit for 4 years in an open shed by a gravel road so it has 4 years of white dust on it. Would love to share some photos but my computer seems to have lost the software that works my digital camera. Hope to get out this week and check it over and I'm sure I will have lot's of questions for you all this being my first H. Also I'm glad gas picked this weekend to go over $2.00 a gallon since I had a 800 mile trip pulling a tractor behind me.OUCH! By the way my truck loved that ethanol you all have up there in the corn belt. I have my timeing advanced to where If I have a hard pull I will get a little spark nock. Not on that stuff baby. It felt like it had more power pulling the tractor than it had on the way up running empty trailer. To Allen and Cowman. I took a right at Nebraska city and ran 75 south down through Kansas. I thought Nebraska was suposed to be flat...whats up with that. You guys live in a beautiful state. Its nice for a guy from SW MO to be able to see so far without seeing an oak tree for a change. Sorry for the long post, I'm a little stoked. Paul

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
