Aach, you people! We still have a foot of snow
on the ground in WI. Well, all right, some of
that melted on Sunday, but still!
Just came back from CO (saw Ernie Bob) and
the people disking on Feb. 28th made me
envious. Made me realize that spring comes
everywhere else first and that fuel is the most
expensive right here at home. With our heavy
soil, we feel lucky to get in the field by the
middle of May. Last year it was June.
The other side of the coin is that in July, when
you guys are dry as a fart, we might still have
some soil moisture to grow crops- very little
irrigation is done here.
Oh well, I'm not ready yet anyway!
