I assume the gear shift pattern was cast in the "slot top" cover, used thru 15967, or early 1940, but I have not seen that particular cover. If you can get all new bearings for only $100, I darn sure wouldn't use the old ones, provided the new ones are quality bearings -- I haven't counted them, but I though they would cost more than that.
