I can only assume it came that way new. I bought it from my uncle, who bought it used from the dealer. It was my understanding that the original owner turboed the tractor, cranked it up pretty good, and pretty much found out that an 856 just wasn't enough tractor for what he wanted. I know the tractor recieved extensive repairs before my uncle bought it. I suppose it is possible that a little customizing had been done while the original owner still had it.
