I would be more concerned about the "off brands" in more modern tractors, such as the ones that began getting the more "sophisticated" hydraulics in the late 1950's. Prior to that it probably doesn't make much difference. The liftalls in the 40's and early 50's H and M work just fine with SAE 30 non-detergent. As to Hy-Tran, in theory, anything that meets Hy-Tran specs is supposed to be ok. But, with more modern tractors, I would at least use a major brand, not what you buy at Walmart or some farm store. I have no proof, however, just my opinion.
