Hi Wayne you really should pick up an IT shop manual there are a few little adjustments but any ways open the side plate and there are two set screws in the govener one hits at idle and one hit at fullm throttle you need to adjust the one on top so it idles for you also linkages can be adjusted the one on bottom you adjust with full throttle so it just hits and make sure there locked down good. JON
