1980, 8602-8935; 1981, 8936-10445. Member of the 86 series, someone else can explain that series to you, as I only know what I read about that "new" a tractor. My source indicates that it was a low budget tractor with few options. Replaced the 686 and Hydro 86 models. Produced to compete with the JD 2840/2940 and Ford 7700 in the South. Other 86 series tractors were the 886, 986, 1086, 1486, and 1586 -- most of these were produced until 1981. Source: Ken Updike's "International Harvestor Tractors 1955-1985".
