Nathan, As I remember seeing the pictures of your M that you posted your tractor is far to nice to "jerry rig" something on it. The "teardrop" style correct lights for your tractor are very common and can easily be found. Try the classifieds on this site and maybe put in a wanted ad and pick out the ones you want. They originally came with 6 volt bulbs so they will need the 12 volt bulb (no. 1156) which are available at any auto parts store for about $2/each. Give yourself a little time and watch eBay as those lights are always being listed. You will quickly determine what the normal selling price is. Check with the Nebraska Cowman who is a regular on this site as I'll bet he has them by the bucket full and is a great person for used parts. Make sure you get the "teardrop" style and not the flatback as they have sealed beams and are very expensive for new bulbs. I believe you were looking at the flatbacks and they didn't appear until the Super series which is later then your M. As far as the need for lights you will have to make that decision. They are certainly the thing to have if you need to drive on a public road for any reason. Doing field work after sunset, I doubt much of that occurs with these old tractors but again you are the judge. I know when we were working dirt as a kid when it was a real farm lights were used a lot if just getting to the house with the tractor after a long day in the fields. Picked up a lot of hay out of fields in the cool evenings as well. Hope this helps.

Since this can be extremely difficult, you may want to fabricate the item or purchase a modern replacement temporarily, but eventually, you s
