He had his right hand all bandaged-up and I asked what had happened, then I noticed that he was missing his fore finger. He told me that he had gotten out of the hospital just the other day. He had been using his tractor loader to move and haul gravel. He noticed that there was some oil dripping from one of the hydraulic hoses on the loader. He ran his hand over it and he said that he felt a "sting". That night his finger really started hurting him. Went to the doctor the next day and he had to go to the hospital to have his finger amputated! Apparently, the pressure in a modern tractor hydraulic system is so high that it can inject oil right through your skin without you even noticing it, no bleeding or anything!
