Andrew: I think terminology should be just a bit more precise than the advice you received. Yes the hydraulic ram at back is for raising hitch and implement. The linkage going to your left rockshaft is levelling control designed to level any implement side to side as the situation demands. (not just designed for plows although the plow probably caused the most use) The linkage going to the right rockshaft should be called the depth control. It controls depth of plow and several other implements, like planters, listers, disks, etc. It will create fore and aft levelling for numerous implements like mowers, platform carriers, etc. I really don't have a problem with what Cmore has told you. These controls have a very wide range of functions depending on implement used. I'm sure I've missed a few also. You really should have an operators manual to explain all the many functions and adjustments of fast hitch. Fast hitch was quite a versatile device, far more functional than 3 point hitch on small tractors such as SA, SC, 100, 200, etc. Fast hitch just didn't make a good drawbar for big tractors.
