Thanks for all the good feedback on yesterdays post and the different philosophys on auctions. I am no Virgin to farm auctions and know all the risks but this was definitly a case where the auctioneer did a bit of over selling. Anyhow I warmed up the unit with a propane heater and let her run for a half hr and then took to the road. The guys that suggested oil viscosity may be on to the problem, I went thru every gear powering thru the brakes to apply load. She would start in low range and always shift to high. I would then apply braking and shift to low range and she would intermittenly Not shift to low especially in low gear. I dont have a manual as yet but if any of you guys have some suggestions on where to check oil levels and adjustment procedures I would appreciate it. My EM is open if you want to send anything direct. Is it characteristic for these units to "miss" a shift now and then or is this the begining of the End.
