the pan and flat surface on the block are fine.The only reason the pan was pulled was to clean the sludge out of the bottom of the pan.It wasnt leaking before I pulled the pan,as I stated it leakes in a different place each time.I have used gasket sealer on the first two and on the second one I didnt just to see if tha twas my problem,then went back and appied it on the last gasket I used.Each time the leak developes in a differnt place.My usual parts guy can only get this "asphaul" looking gasket and my dealer gets on from a different place but its the same.(My dealer isnt the best place for parts,so I tend not to use him).If I cant find one precut then Ill make one,out of cork.
