Charles.... It can be easily done with two people. Once you pry up on it to free it up from the gasket and gunk, get in a good position behind the rear axles and lift straight up, remember your three shifter rails/forks are dangling from underneath. You don't want ding these as you move it up an out. Maybe you're completely removing your gas tank first??... you could just remove the front tank support and then tie that end up to a rafter or something above. Just removed my cover to get at the shifter rails; four out of my five detente springs were shot. It's a great opportunity to get a good look at other problem areas and to see just how every is put together in the tranny.Good luck.
