I just took mine off a H a couple of days ago. The front end was cracked at the rear of the belt pully opening. Been thet way for years it looks like. Their are 3 dowl pins in the case, and the crack was in the front dowel hole. I thought it was just a minor grease leak before I took it apart. After I got the belt pully box off and saw the crack, I started working from the front toward the back. I got it up high enough to get 4- 7/16 nuts under the cover and then screwed 12 inch pieces of 7/16 all-thread into the case, and through the nuts Then I used the nuts for jacks so I could raise the cover. I evenly. It took a little longer, but I'm a one man operation, and that cover is pretty heavy. Also didn't want to finish breaking the cover. ken fox
