I may be way off base here and someone will surely set me straight. McCormick-Deering started making these tractors way back when. I believe the FS stands for Farmall Series and followed through with assigning the appropriate serial numbers. This is just a SWAG (scientific wild A$$ guess) Any differing opinions?
