There may be a gardening board, I'll look on the internet and post any info. Our parents had a big garden when I was growing up. They raised just about everything we ate. They had us in the garden when we big enough to hold a garden hoe.
They only went to the store once a week or every 2 weeks. Seems like we go about everyday. We used a mule or a horse to the cultivator. I liked the mule best since she wouldn't eat the sweet corn. When I was going with my wife, I wouldn't get in until the early hours of the morning. My dad said, I don't care how late you stay out, you still have those cows to milk.
