Two quick items, Take a test light (or a tail light and socket with wires) and ground one end to the frame. Take the other wire and hold it on the heavy wire going into the starter from the solenoid. Click the key as normal. if the light lights the starter is open and needs brushes or more. if the light does not light it is the solenoid, wires, or battery.
