Carl, I"m sure you can get a lot of insight as to how things were in the plants form a workers perspective, and I"m sure they all have their own memories and stories. However to say that their stories are to be more believable than the information from the Wisconsin Historical Society seems a stretch since their perspective pertained mostly to the plant or section that they worked, and not of IH as a whole. In fact many engineering decisions and business decisions within their own plants probablly never reached the rank and file worker carrying a dinner bucket. The WHS has had access to archived information throughout the entire IH-Mccormick Deering, and have made this information available to those who seek it. I would say that anything published by WHS in regard to IH and McCormick Deering is well documented and is well beyond the lore and perspective of a few factory workers. This is not to say that their stories do not hold any weight, but I doubt they can be deemed as more believable than WHS.
