All righty boyz!!!!!!! Went to an auction today, just cause there was some ih stuff there, you know, see who buys and what it go"s for. lots of little stuff, on wagons, they had a 856,H with loader, sa woods b\m, 230 with lots of fh attachments. and a ih corn pickier in good shape, and a model 91 selp propelled combine. Well, they started the bidding on the combine, they were way up in the $1000 mark, it came down to $50, so dad bid, I never bid before, kind of scared, He said if you want er tell me how much, i said go a grand on it, so the bidding stopped at $700 Canadian. So know i got myself an all original 91 MCcormick combine!!!!!!, man is it sweet, Just needs some wax to make er shine like new. Originall tires on it. You steer like a skid steer. The guy who bought it new, only combined 100 acres with it for one year, found out it was to small for his operation, so he hired a guy to do his croppin, so he had this brand new 91 sittin in his shed for what 50+ years, he took er out and did some with er every year. I think i got a deal, someone said you could waist $700 on gas and drive and not find one that shape. I will get a pic, wouldnt fit on the trailer we had. Now, does anyone know what years these were made, How mutch they weigh, and any other info on them. If you look in the last issue of redpower , in the center where the reader send in there pics, there is a 93 from Ontario, i met that guy today, he showed me how to run er. Man i"m so exited, now to find a spot for it and my thresher to. By the way, the 856 went for $7900, h for $2700, a for $2600. 230 for almost 3, prices are CDN, and the picker went for $25 , and it wouldn"t of taken much to get goin either!
