I drained the old black tar oil out of my H (took over 3 days) then put in over 5 gal of varsol, filled it up way past the full plug. Let it sit, fired up the tractor once aday let it idle for about 20 seconds, with the pto engaged. Did this for about 5 days on the last time I ran it around the yard in 3 gear for about 3 to 5 minutes ,(at low idle) REMEMBER that varsol has no lubrication, so be carefull. Transmition noise will be quite loud. This worked for me quite well. For sealing up cover a anerobic sealer works great, i use it at work quite often as a mechanic in the heavy truck trade
